- Aluminum‑modified Ni‑Cr‑Fe formulation; forms stable Al₂O₃+Cr₂O₃ dual‑oxide scale, outstanding cyclic oxidation resistance up to 1200 °C
- Excellent resistance to carburizing, nitriding atmospheres and thermal‑cycling spallation for furnace and thermal‑process equipment
- High nickel matrix delivers good chloride stress‑corrosion‑cracking(SCC) resistance for mixed high‑temp & moderate aqueous corrosive environments
- Non‑hardenable via quenching or aging; supplied in solution‑annealed quenched soft state for CNC turning, boring and machining
- Custom OD, ID, wall‑thickness, height / length; full CNC machining for rings and hollow‑bar components per CAD/PDF drawings
- Premium raw stock for industrial furnace rings, radiant tube blanks, heat‑treatment fixtures, petrochemical thermal hardware and thermal‑oxidizer internals
This series of Inconel 601 rings and hollow bars are manufactured by hot forging / hot piercing, followed by solution annealing and rapid water quenching to achieve homogeneous single‑phase austenitic microstructure. Standard delivery is solution‑annealed soft blank ready for rough‑and‑finish CNC machining.
Inconel 601 (UNS N06601 / 2.4851) is aluminum‑bearing nickel‑chromium‑iron solid‑solution alloy. The addition of aluminium promotes formation of adherent dual‑layer alumina‑chromia protective scale, delivering far superior cyclic oxidation‑spallation performance compared to Inconel 600 under repeated heating‑cooling conditions. It also performs well in carburizing and nitriding furnace atmospheres. Note that Inconel 601 is primarily engineered for high‑temperature gaseous service and is not optimized for heavy aqueous acid corrosion. Widely processed into furnace retaining rings, radiant tube segments, heat‑treatment fixture rings, petrochemical thermal‑reactor internals and incinerator hardware for industrial furnaces, petrochemical, waste‑to‑energy and thermal‑processing industries.
Material Grade Characteristics – Inconel 601 (UNS N06601 / 2.4851)- Solid‑solution‑strengthened nickel‑chromium‑iron alloy, cannot gain hardness through quenching or aging heat‑treatment
- Al‑Cr composite system forms tightly‑adhered Al₂O₃+Cr₂O₃ protective scale; excellent cyclic oxidation resistance up to 1200 °C, strong resistance to oxide‑scale spallation under thermal cycling
- Good performance in carburizing and nitriding furnace atmospheres; prevents internal material embrittlement in carbon‑rich high‑temperature environments
- High‑nickel matrix provides reliable chloride SCC resistance for high‑temperature brine‑contact mixed service conditions
- Good ductility and fabricability in solution‑annealed condition; compatible with conventional TIG/MIG welding; post‑weld solution‑annealing is recommended for heavy thermal‑cycling assemblies
- Reminder: Not designed for sustained heavy mineral‑acid immersion corrosion; primary application targets high‑temperature gaseous environments

1 Superior Cyclic Oxidation‑Spallation Resistance Aluminum‑chromium dual‑protective‑oxide layer delivers outstanding anti‑spalling performance under repeated heating‑cooling cycles, reliable long‑term service up to 1200 °C, out‑performs Inconel 600 in thermal‑cycling furnace environments.
2 Excellent Anti‑Carburization & Anti‑Nitriding Performance Resists carbon / nitrogen atomic penetration, prevents material embrittlement for carburizing‑furnace and ammonia‑nitriding thermal‑process hardware.
3 Good Chloride SCC Resistance High‑nickel‑base microstructure mitigates chloride‑stress‑corrosion‑cracking risk for components subject to mixed high‑temperature‑gas plus brine‑condensation conditions.
4 Good Fabrication Compatibility Solution‑annealed condition provides good ductility for turning, boring, milling and forming; post‑weld solution‑annealing recommended for components under severe thermal‑cycling load.
5 Cost‑Effective High‑Temperature Furnace Alloy Competitive choice for furnace rings, radiant‑tube blanks compared to higher‑grade superalloys for non‑heavy‑acid high‑temperature‑gas working conditions.
