Product Overview

This series of Inconel X‑750 rings and hollow bars are manufactured by hot forging / hot piercing extrusion. Raw ingot is available in air‑melted or VIM‑VAR vacuum‑remelted variant for high‑purity requirements. Material is solution‑annealed and rapid‑cooled to obtain homogeneous austenitic matrix microstructure. Standard delivery is solution‑annealed soft blank for rough‑and‑finish CNC machining; target mechanical properties are realized by subsequent multi‑stage stabilization plus precipitation aging heat‑treatment.

Inconel X‑750 (UNS N07750 / 2.4669) is gamma‑prime (Ni₃(Al,Ti,Nb)) precipitation‑hardening nickel‑base superalloy. Distinct advantage is excellent anti‑stress‑relaxation performance under sustained high‑temperature pre‑load, widely used for high‑temperature springs, circlips and bolt‑type fasteners. It also possesses good high‑temperature oxidation‑resistance. Widely processed into seamless rolled rings, hollow‑bar sleeves, spring‑retainer ring forgings and hot‑zone fixture preforms for aerospace gas‑turbine, heat‑treatment furnace, power‑generation and high‑performance mechanical‑equipment industries.

Material Grade Characteristics – Inconel X‑750 (UNS N07750 / 2.4669)

  • Gamma‑prime precipitation‑hardening nickel‑base superalloy; peak mechanical properties obtained by multi‑step solution‑stabilization‑aging heat‑treatment cycle
  • Superior stress‑relaxation resistance at elevated temperatures; ideal for pre‑loaded high‑temperature spring‑retainer ring and fastener‑type components
  • Good high‑temperature oxidation‑resistance for oxidizing hot‑gas environments, continuous service capability up to 870 °C
  • Optional VIM‑VAR double vacuum‑remelting ingot, reduces non‑metallic inclusions to improve fatigue‑safety margin for aerospace critical‑part applications
  • Caution on welding: prone to strain‑age‑cracking under heavy‑restraint welding conditions; post‑weld full solution‑anneal plus multi‑stage aging is strongly recommended to restore complete properties
  • Solution‑annealed quenched delivery guarantees low residual stress and good machinability for ring‑hollow‑bar forging blank
  • Reminder: Not suitable for long‑term service in heavy sulphur‑containing corrosive flue‑gas environments

Key Advantages

1 Excellent High‑Temperature Anti‑Stress‑Relaxation Performance

Gamma‑prime precipitating phase grants outstanding resistance to stress‑relaxation under sustained high‑temperature pre‑load; perfect material choice for high‑temp retaining‑rings, circlips and pre‑stressed fastener‑type ring‑hollow‑bar components.

2 Good High‑Temperature Oxidation‑Resistance

Forms stable protective oxide‑scale under oxidizing hot‑gas environments, reliable for continuous service up to 870 °C for furnace and gas‑turbine hot‑zone hardware.

3 Premium Vacuum‑Remelted Ingot Option

VIM‑VAR double‑vacuum‑remelted raw material lowers non‑metallic inclusions, improves fatigue‑resistance for safety‑critical aerospace ring‑hollow‑bar forgings.

4 Distinct Application‑Oriented Multi‑Stage Aging Options

Multiple AMS‑standard stabilization‑aging cycles are available, to balance strength, ductility and relaxation‑resistance according to component‑service‑mode requirements.

5 Mature Qualified Superalloy
